Red Barn Ridge was started in 2004 by Paul Schwinghammer and David Schwinghammer. The brothers saw a need for a professional organization to help many understand and comply with the complex and rapidly changing stormwater regulation. The brothers utilize their education, and life experience of plant and soil interdependency to address erosion control situations. Red

Barn Ridge gets it name from the location of their office. The office is located in a large refurbished barn that once housed the family dairy operation. The barn now contains offices and a large conference area. The property that the barn sits on has a ridge running through it. Much erosion control understanding has be learned over the years trying to keep the soils in place on the slopes. |

David has co-development Red Barn Ridge, and Red Barn Ridge-FM. He also developed a number of erosion control related products and services from inlet protection devices, perimeter control, to innovative stabilization processes. David is also a retired from the United States Air Force Master Sergeant. He served in the Armed Forces for over 22 years. While in the Air Force He served as a computer network administrator. He has planned, designed, coordinated and implemented large-scale computer networks to include cables, mainframes and desktops. He has been involved heavily in Nuclear Surety Inspections. These inspections were performed by federal agencies and required meticulous adherence to federal policies and procedures. As a database administrator he was responsible for maintaining data for historical purposes as outlined in the Freedom of Information Act. He have been in numerous supervisory and management positions to include directing 15 man teams in Hostile Fire Zones on more than one occasion. He has developed the tools to deal with individuals from many walks of life even to the point of teaching myself a foreign language. Italian. |

Get to Know the Brothers:
Paul has co-founded a number of companies which include a land management company, an erosion control product company, Red Barn Ridge, and Red Barn Ridge-FM. Paul has held number of executive management positions with manufacturing companies locally and in the Minneapolis area. In his 25 year career he has held the positions of Director of Sales & Marketing, National Sales Manager, & General Manager, Project Manager, Engineer, Toolmaker, Inspector, and Machine Builder. A number of these positions required detailed involvement with FDA regulations, ISO certification, and aerospace documentation. Paul holds a BA in Business from Concordia University, along with an A.S. from St. Cloud Technical College. He also has a number of business and technical certificates |

Red Barn Ridge - FARGO MOORHEAD area developers and builders have the services of Red Barn Ridge available in a local co-operative effort with JT Lawn Service.
JT Lawn Service is a family company that was start by Josh and Tyler West while they were still in High School. The brothers have grown the company into a thriving full service company. The brothers have learned much of their entrepreneurial skills from their parents and many of their long time clients.
